Artist's Comments
I decided to work on creating a definitive image of the Excelsior Refit-Class starship to represent my original ship the U.S.S. McAlester. Using the image of the Enterprise-B used on the model kit of the ship, I created some lighting effects and contrast make it seem almost as if the ship were a CGI. The background is some random region of space from an unknown source. There's not very many good images to choose from of this particular starship, from canon or done by fans. I hope this shows her off better than most pictures I've seen so far.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
